Albanian Riviera

My home for 3 months is currently the town of Sarande in southern Albania. Just a short drive (or swim) from the border with Greece. Dramatic 6,000 ft peaks drop into turquoise waters, and mountain villages dot the horizons. Needless to say I’m very grateful to call it home!

This is the view from my balcony where you can see the city and a number of Greek islands in the distance

This big one is the island of Corfu

Spotted the rare and infamous Hoopoe bird!

The extremely common Albanian roadblock!

To the north the Riviera ends here in the city of Vlore
